Friday, 05 August 2005 - Cottongrass (Eriophorum angustifolium - a member of the sedge family) blowing in the wind. Taken in Eshaness on the Shetland Islands - that most northern outpost of the British Isles - whilst on my cycle trip around the North Sea. I've long wanted a good photo of cottongrass, and with the yellow Bog Asphodel behind, this nicely captures the sense of the wind.
